Industrial sliding gates are used at factory entrances, warehouse compounds, power plants, logistics depots, and large commercial premises where a heavy-duty, secure, high-frequency gate is required to handle daily operation by heavy vehicles.

Rudhar Group specifies motors based on gate leaf weight. Standard industrial sliding gate motors handle gate leaves of up to 500 kg, 1000 kg, and 2000 kg depending on the model. Gate weight is calculated based on frame dimensions, infill panel material, and gate height.

Industrial sliding gates run on a flat or V-groove ground track with heavy-duty bottom wheels made from steel or nylon with steel bearings. The top is guided by upper guide brackets fixed to a secondary track or gate post.

A cantilever sliding gate can be installed without a ground track, supported by a counterbalance frame mounted behind the pillar. This is recommended for unpaved ground, railway crossings, driveways with drains, or sites where a ground track would be a trip hazard.

Standard industrial sliding gates operate at 10-15 cm per second. For a 6-metre wide gate, a full open cycle takes 40-60 seconds. For faster opening with high-frequency truck movements, a telescopic sliding gate is recommended.
