Barriers

Barriers

Barriers are access-control systems that regulate the entry and exit of vehicles and pedestrians at a controlled point, without requiring a full gate or wall. Rudhar Group manufactures boom barriers for vehicle access, flap barriers for pedestrian access, and rising bollards for high-security perimeter protection — used across parking facilities, residential societies, corporate campuses and toll points.

Features & Benefits

  • Fast 1-3 second opening/closing cycle for smooth traffic flow at entry/exit points.
  • Vehicle-detection loop and photo-cell sensors prevent the arm from lowering onto a vehicle.
  • Manual release mechanism allows operation during a power failure.
  • Integrates with RFID cards, ANPR cameras, ticketing machines and access control systems.
  • Weatherproof outdoor construction suitable for Indian climate conditions.
  • Push button, remote control or automated (loop/RFID) operation modes.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions answered by our technical team.

Rudhar Group supplies boom barriers (arm barriers for vehicle access control at parking facilities), flap barriers (waist-height flap gates for pedestrian access control), and bollards (fixed and automatic retractable for vehicle attack protection and pedestrian zone demarcation).

Standard automatic boom barriers operate with an arm opening time of 1-3 seconds depending on the model and arm length. High-frequency models designed for toll plazas and busy parking exits operate at 0.9-1.5 seconds.

Yes. Rudhar Group barriers accept external trigger inputs and loop detector connections. RFID readers, ticketing machines, QR code scanners, ANPR cameras and access control systems can all be integrated. Complete parking management systems with software are available on request.

Yes. Rudhar Group boom barriers are designed for outdoor installation with IP54 or higher rating for dust and rain resistance. Motor windings are Class F insulated for the high ambient temperature range (typically -10 to +60 degrees C) of Indian climatic conditions.

Standard safety features include: loop detector interface (prevents arm lowering onto a vehicle), obstacle detection on the arm, manual emergency release during power failure, anti-crash limit switches, and LED illuminated arm for night visibility.

Rudhar Group supplies boom barriers with arm lengths from 1 metre to 9 metres. Arms up to 3 metres are straight aluminium. Arms of 3-6 metres use articulated or cranked profiles. Arms of 6-9 metres are modular cantilever designs.
