Hangar doors are large-span doors engineered to close very wide and tall openings, typically for aircraft hangars, defence facilities, and oversized industrial buildings. Rudhar Group manufactures hangar doors in sliding and folding configurations, built for the wide clear openings and wind loads that aircraft and heavy-equipment hangars require.
Types
- Horizontal sliding hangar doors: door panels slide along a track parallel to the opening, suitable where side space is available.
- Bi-folding hangar doors: panels fold back on themselves, reducing the space needed to the side of the opening.
Features & Benefits
- Engineered for large clear-span openings well beyond standard industrial door widths and heights.
- Wind-load rated steel structure suited to exposed airfield and open-site locations.
- Motorized operation for large, heavy door panels.
- Personnel wicket door option for staff access without operating the full door.
- Manual override in case of power failure.
