Fire rated doors are specialist doors tested and purpose-built to withstand fire for a specified duration, giving buildings time to evacuate safely and preventing fire from spreading between compartments. Rudhar Group manufactures fire rated doors in FD30, FD60, FD90 and FD120 ratings (denoting 30, 60, 90 and 120 minutes of fire resistance) for staircase enclosures, lift lobbies, plant rooms and fire compartments, compliant with NBC 2016 and IS 3614.

Fire doors serve two vital, complementary functions:

  • When closed, they form a barrier that stops the spread of fire and smoke between compartments.
  • When opened, they provide a safe means of escape for occupants.

A machine high-speed door (also called a machine protection door or machine guarding door) is a compact, fast-cycling door designed to enclose CNC machines, robotic cells, machining centres, automated production lines and other industrial machinery.

Machine high-speed doors are specifically designed for compact machine enclosures. They have a much smaller footprint, operate at very high speeds up to 2.0 m per second for minimal cycle time impact, and are integrated with the machine safety PLC rather than operating independently.

Yes. Rudhar Group machine high-speed doors are available with PLC integration. The door open-close cycle is triggered directly by signals from the CNC machine or robot controller via digital I/O (typically 24V DC). Door status is fed back to the machine control.

Machine guarding doors must comply with ISO 13857 (safety distances), EN 953 (guards general requirements), and EN 14119 (interlocking devices). Required safety features include door-closed confirmation switch interlocked with machine operation and obstacle detection.

Machine high-speed doors are available in widths from 600 mm to 3000 mm and heights from 600 mm to 2500 mm. Non-standard sizes are available on request, determined by the machine opening geometry and clearance requirements.
