Fire Doors Doors

Fire rated doors are specialist doors tested and purpose-built to withstand fire for a specified duration, giving buildings time to evacuate safely and preventing fire from spreading between compartments. Rudhar Group manufactures fire rated doors in FD30, FD60, FD90 and FD120 ratings (denoting 30, 60, 90 and 120 minutes of fire resistance) for staircase enclosures, lift lobbies, plant rooms and fire compartments, compliant with NBC 2016 and IS 3614.

Fire doors serve two vital, complementary functions:

  • When closed, they form a barrier that stops the spread of fire and smoke between compartments.
  • When opened, they provide a safe means of escape for occupants.

Features & Benefits

  • Available in FD30, FD60, FD90 and FD120 fire-resistance ratings to match the compartmentalisation requirement.
  • Intumescent seals around the door edges expand when temperatures exceed 200°C, sealing the gap between door and frame.
  • Self-closing hinges or door closers ensure the door returns to a closed position after use.
  • Steel or fire-rated composite door leaf construction for durability in commercial and industrial settings.
  • Vision panels available with fire-rated glass where visibility through the door is required.
  • Regular inspection and correct installation by a competent team is essential — fire doors are a carefully engineered life-safety device.

Rudhar Group supplies boom barriers (arm barriers for vehicle access control at parking facilities), flap barriers (waist-height flap gates for pedestrian access control), and bollards (fixed and automatic retractable for vehicle attack protection and pedestrian zone demarcation).

Standard automatic boom barriers operate with an arm opening time of 1-3 seconds depending on the model and arm length. High-frequency models designed for toll plazas and busy parking exits operate at 0.9-1.5 seconds.

Yes. Rudhar Group barriers accept external trigger inputs and loop detector connections. RFID readers, ticketing machines, QR code scanners, ANPR cameras and access control systems can all be integrated. Complete parking management systems with software are available on request.

Yes. Rudhar Group boom barriers are designed for outdoor installation with IP54 or higher rating for dust and rain resistance. Motor windings are Class F insulated for the high ambient temperature range (typically -10 to +60 degrees C) of Indian climatic conditions.

Standard safety features include: loop detector interface (prevents arm lowering onto a vehicle), obstacle detection on the arm, manual emergency release during power failure, anti-crash limit switches, and LED illuminated arm for night visibility.

Rudhar Group supplies boom barriers with arm lengths from 1 metre to 9 metres. Arms up to 3 metres are straight aluminium. Arms of 3-6 metres use articulated or cranked profiles. Arms of 6-9 metres are modular cantilever designs.
